We enjoyed lots of special 100 day centers and activities

But by far the 100 day snack center was the class favorite!! We had lots of fun counting to 100 and celebrating being 100 days smarter!!

High School Friends Come to Visit

Our HS HOSA program came to visit and teach us about first aid. We learned what to keep in a first aid lot, how to properly clean wounds, and so much more! The kids had so much fun learning from the high schoolers!

iPad Math Lesson

Mr. Norman, our school's iCoach, came to our class this week to show us some apps we can use in math! The kids had so much fun learning these apps and we will be using them this coming week in class. The apps are called Farmyard and Skitch and they are free to download! The kids created scenes using Farmyard and then created a math story problem with it using Skitch! Here are some pictures from the lesson!

Addition with Beans

Today we started our addition unit. We learned our math vocabulary-add, join, plus sign, equals. The kids were given three cups to use to help visualize joining two numbers together. We put beans in two cups and then poured the beans into  a third to join them together. Addition is a HUGE kinder concept to cover; we had a great first day!

Our Grand Total and Gifts Galore!

We did it! We collected $95.00 for our Blue Santa project!! I am so very proud of the generosity, eagerness, and compassion our students possess. Today, we finished adding up our donations and then we did some online shopping. We problem solved whether or not we had enough money for a few toys and then, as a class, picked out the gifts. Here is a picture of our class with our toys! Next up, presenting the gifts to the Blue Santa program! These kids amaze me more and more each day!

We were able to purchase a Lego set, remote controlled cat, and two board games!!

Blue Santa collection

Our kindergarteners presented their gifts for the Blue Santa drive today in the morning assembly! The total raised by all our sweet and generous kids was over $1000!! We are very proud of all our cline kids and family for participating in this wonderful toy drive! Our kids not only practiced math skills by doing this, but also the true meaning of Christmas by giving from their hearts!

Way to go Cline Kindergarten!!
