We've Been in School FIFTY Days!!

Can you believe it?! We have learned so much in 59 days. Not only math and reading, but also about each other! We had a great 50th day of school. We did math stations, blew bubbles, did some 50's dancing, and even had a rootbeer float. The kids (and Mrs. Kemp and I) had a blast!

Sink or Float?!

Today we did a science experiment with our pumpkins. We made a hypothesis (our scientist word for guess) on whether or not our class pumpkin would sink or float in a tub of water. Many of us were shocked (see facial expression picture) to find out that it floated! While we were outside, we also discussed how as we added objects to our tub, the water level rose although the amount of water stayed the same. We talked about an object's capacity and also got to enjoy the good weather :)

             let the experiment begin!

                           it floats!

                           what?!

                 we can't believe it!
